Mahamritunjay homam is done for a long and healthy life and to get rid of prolonged sickness. Especially for those on their death bed. Lord Shiva represents the aspect of the Supreme Being and is considered to be the destroyer of evil and sorrow. Shiva is ‘Tri Netra’, and is ‘Neela Kantha’. Shiva – Nataraja is the Divine Cosmic Dancer. Shiva – Ardhanareeswara is both man and woman. Shiva is both static and dynamic and is both creator and destroyer. He is the source of fertility in all living beings. He has gentle as well as fierce forms. He destroyes evil and protects good. He bestows prosperity on worshipers although he is austere.
Bhagwan Shiva is the Lord of mercy and compassion. He protects devotees from evil forces. Lord Shiva is the third member of the Hindu Trinity, the other two being Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu. Owing to His cosmic activity of dissolution and recreation, the words destroyer and destruction have been erroneously associated with Lord Shiva. 125000 Maha Mrityunjay Mantra Pooja Jaap & Yagya
Mahamrityunjaya Mantra (maha-mrityun-jaya) is one of the more potent of the ancient Sanskrit mantras. Maha mrityunjaya is a call for enlightenment and is a practice of purifying the karmas of the soul at a deep level. It is also said to be quite beneficial for mental, emotional, and physical health.Such an extended practice with Maha Mrityunjaya mantra can have a tremendous effect in stabilizing the mind in preparation for advancing in meditation.This is called the – Maha Yagyas – and is meant for avoiding untimely death and increase longevity. This homam is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The yagya is performed to get victory over – MRTITYU – which means death. The focal point of worship during this Jaap Yagya is Lord Shiva.Please do mention the Sankalpa or the wish with which you want to get the pooja performed. This is a long procession and a group of Priests/Pandits perform this 125000 Jaap for 7 days to complete and then Havan or Homam take place on the last day and its Prasadam will be shipped along with Siddha Mahamirunjay Yantra and Abhimantrit Parad Shivling with event DVD of the Mahamirunjay Jap & Havan .
